Atalanta's match against Lecce has been rescheduled for Sunday due to an unexpected death.

The Serie A match between Atalanta and Lecce has been rescheduled until Sunday, April 27, following the death of a staff member. The Week 34 match was scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo. The Salentini were already at the team hotel, preparing for the game, when they learned this morning that physiotherapist Graziano Fiorita had died. Fiorita had been with the club for over 20 years, and his abrupt death shocked the squad when they returned from the Coccaglio training camp to their base. Lecce is in sorrow. Lecce requested that the match be moved following the unexpected tragedy, and the Lega Serie A has already confirmed that it will be rescheduled for Sunday. The game starts at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) on Sunday, April 27. The death of Pope Francis had already changed the schedule for Week 34, and Saturday is a day of national mourning, therefore all games are cancelled. There will now be seven Serie A games on Sunday.

Juventus secured their second win under Tudor, a close victory over Lecce.

Juventus continued to improve under Igor Tudor, defeating Lecce 2-1 at Allianz Stadium. Teun Koopmeiners, a former Atalanta player, scored his third goal of the season in just two minutes after Dušan Vlahović assisted him. Kenan Yıldız, a 19-year-old Turkish sensation, scored Juve's second goal in the 33rd minute after converting Vlahovic's lay-off. Vlahovic now has two assists on the night. When the second half began, La Vecchia Signora appeared to be in complete control and nearly certain to score a third goal before the completion of the 90 minutes. Though they were unable to score another goal, Juve stayed on track to take all three points, but a late strike from Lecce's Federico Baschirotto in the 87th minute threatened to end the night in the dying minutes as Marco Giampaolo's side attempted to spoil the party. Juventus would eventually hold on, with this win briefly lifting them up to third place in the rankings ahead of a crucial Atalanta-Bologna showdown...

The numbers behind Roma’s fantastic 2025 under Claudio Ranieri.

Serie A heavyweights Roma maintained their good league run with a strong 1-0 victory against Lecce. As a consequence, they moved up to sixth place in the table, just three points behind Juventus, whom they face in their next league match. While Claudio Ranieri's side has been eliminated from the Europa League in the last three weeks, their league performance has been nothing short of spectacular. They have yet to lose a single Serie A game in 2025, and their amazing form is highlighted by the fact that they have kept as many as seven clean sheets. In fact, they have not conceded a single goal in their last three games, winning 1-0 against Lecce, Empoli, and Cagliari. They also defeated Monza 4-0 back in February. The start of the year was remarkable, as they won 2-0 over arch-rivals Lazio, and in total, Ranieri's side has scored 21 goals while conceding only six, two of which came against Bologna in a hard-fought 2-2 tie. Much of it boils down to Ranieri's strategy, w...

Manchester United have opened talks with Lecce about signing left-back Patrick Dorgu. Ruben Amorim has made signing a left-back to fit his system his top priority for the January transfer window, despite limited funds. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have been plagued by fitness issues for the past 18 months, leaving United without a clear option. This season, they have combined to play only 160 minutes in the Premier League. According to The Athletic, United have begun negotiations to sign Dorgu. The 20-year-old is regarded as one of Serie A's most promising young players. Dorgu has made 20 league appearances for the Italian club this season, scoring three goals and assisting once. He has demonstrated versatility by playing minutes at both full-back and further forward on either flank. Lecce's 6ft 2in defender has impressed at both ends of the pitch, finishing in the top five percent of full-backs in Europe in terms of goals, non-penalty xG, and aerial duels won per 90 minute...
