Bologna defeats Napoli 1-1 in Serie A, with a stunning goal from Ndoye halting both teams' desire.

André Frank Zambo Anguissa put Napoli ahead, but Bologna dominated the second half with a fantastic Dan Ndoye back-heel flick equaliser, as both teams failed to capitalise on previous outcomes. This was a crucial encounter for the table, as a win could see the Rossoblu overtake Atalanta into third place, or Napoli close the margin at the top to one point. Both teams were forced to make last-minute changes due to Alex Meret's sickness and Alessandro Buongiorno's muscular issue, while Lewis Ferguson was replaced in the warm-up by Michael Aebischer, with Davide Calabria already injured. Antonio Conte sat out a touchline suspension. Napoli took the lead thanks to a fantastic solo effort from Anguissa, who flicked on the long ball in the centre circle, brushed off challenges from Emil Holm and Juan Miranda, and then stayed on his feet to move around Lukasz Skorupski before putting into the empty net. Skorupski damaged his knee during the action and had to be replaced by Fede...

Napoli manager Antonio Conte claimed today that Paris Saint-Germain target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) has 'requested to leave' Napoli, while Foot Mercato insider Santi Aouna says that the French capital club is close to signing the Georgian international. Aouna has stated that PSG and Napoli have almost struck a verbal agreement for Kvaratskhelia, with the two clubs hoping to finalize the deal next week. Napoli manager Conte announced today that Kvaratskhelia has "asked to leave the club", remembering that he met with the player and he "confirmed his plan to leave the club immediately". Meanwhile, it has been stated that the Georgian would sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Rouge et Bleu club, and that Napoli is not interested in a swap for PSG centre-back Milan Skriniar. RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins stated yesterday that Kvaratskhelia was interested in joining the Ligue 1 champions, and that PSG had apparently made an unknown approach to ...

5️⃣ massive moves are expected to take place in August.

We're officially halfway through the transfer season, and while Euro 2024 has dominated our attention this summer, there have still been plenty of huge transactions. And there's still lots more to come. From Victor Osimhen's eventual departure from SSC Napoli to Manchester United's pursuit of another centre-back, here are the most significant transactions we anticipate in August. 1. Romelu Lukaku to SSC Napoli . Of sure, Antonio Conte will sign Romelu Lukaku. Of course he is. Conte's favourite player, who led Inter to their first Scudetto in 2021 under his tutelage, is expected to join the manager's new team SSC Napoli this summer. Given Napoli's need for a replacement for Victor Osimhen (more on him later), as well as Lukaku's strong Serie A scoring record of 70 goals in 129 games, this transaction makes a lot of sense. 2. Federico Chiesa to Arsenal. Federico Chiesa was once regarded as one of international football's top wide forwards. That was bef...
