Real Betis have agreed to sell Nabil Fekir to UAE side Al-Jazira for an unknown price. Los Verdiblancos have been negotiating a deal to unload the former French international in order to balance Andalucia's difficult financial condition. Fekir's departure ends a five-year relationship with the club, despite struggles with form and injury in Spain. The decision to let Fekir go is likely to free up transfer funds and salary space for deadline-day additions at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. The team will miss out on a late move for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, but Tottenham star Giovani Lo Celso is a viable possibility. Spurs accepted an agreement to release Lo Celso, who will join Real Betis on a free transfer, as part of an unusual transfer package. According to transfer specialist Matteo Moretto, Spurs have a €30 million option to buy USMNT midfielder Johnny Cardoso, who joined the club for €6 million in January.
