Why the board of Sevilla has declined to go to the forthcoming match against Barcelona.

Those in positions of authority at La Liga team Sevilla will not be present at this weekend's matchup with Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo claims that this is the case, using the ongoing "Negreira case" as justification. As many will undoubtedly remember, Sevilla's board said in September that they would not be attending any of the events surrounding the team's La Liga away trip to Barcelona. The Nervionenses issued a statement outlining their reasons for declining the invitation to use an executive box at Montjuïc as well as the customary pre-match boardroom meal. As stated in the order circulated in the media, "complete indignation and rejection of the practices carried out by the former FC Barcelona leaders accused in the Negreira case, practices that supposedly constitute a crime for the Investigating Court number 1 of Barcelona." Furthermore, as previously said, the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán's leadership has not changed their position in the 12 mont

Chelsea is "exploring a deal" with Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho.

Sky Sports News reports that Chelsea are "exploring [a] deal" to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United before the August 30 deadline.

According to Sky Sports' top correspondent Dharmesh Sheth, Chelsea and Juventus are keen in signing the 24-year-old winger, with United wanting a "permanent" deal if Sancho leaves Old Trafford this summer.

According to Sheth, a loan move is "not ruled out," with United executives likely to acknowledge that potential bidders are unlikely to match the club's £40 million asking price for Sancho.

Chelsea and Juventus are considering a deal for Manchester United. Jaden Sancho. Juventus wants a loan. It is thought that Chelsea's deal might include a player moving the other way. United seek a permanent deal, although a loan is not out of the question. Sancho went to Brighton but was left out of the team.

As The Peoples Person covered in greater detail here, Juventus appeared to be Sancho's "most likely" destination this summer. The Italian club has already agreed to sign two wingers, Nico Gonzalez and Francisco Conceição, on loan this week.

Interestingly, Sheth says Chelsea may try to entice United with a player exchange. This means that the London club would be willing to work with a "player going the other way" to assist the transfer.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, an Italian transfer specialist, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are two viable choices for Chelsea in negotiations with United.

Sterling would assist replace the attacking flexibility that Sancho's absence would create, while Chilwell would enter Old Trafford as the club's only fit left-back, given Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia's continued injuries.

Di Marzio also says Juventus is "continuing to negotiate" with United over a loan deal for Sancho, implying the Old Lady cannot be completely ruled out.

The 24-year-old winger was kept out of United's first-team lineup for both of their Premier League openers this season. He allegedly reaffirmed his intention to leave Old Trafford this summer following his exclusion from the squad to face Fulham last weekend.

Sancho did travel to the Amex Stadium yesterday to see United lose 2-1 from the stands, but it is believed the winger was not selected in the matchday squad as negotiations about his transfer continue.

As the summer transfer season nears its end, United are likely to agree that any transaction that involves Sancho's massive salary being outsourced somewhere is preferable to a dissatisfied player remaining in the dressing room (or watching from the stands).

If the team is able to recruit an experienced goal scorer, such as Sterling, or a natural fullback in severe need, such as Chilwell, the outcome would be preferable to the alternative.

🏅Mateta shines as France defeats Egypt, securing a gold medal clash with Spain.

On Monday night, France hosted two Olympic semi-finals. This is what occurred. France advances to the final following a fierce clash with Egypt. In a tense contest, France rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Egypt 2-1 in extra time. After a poor start, France improved just before the interval, with Loïc Badé hitting the post after Joris Chotard's pass. Alexandre Lacazette had a golden opportunity to score in the second half, but he hesitated and ultimately missed the shot. After absorbing all of France's pressure, Egypt proceeded to the other end, where Mahmoud Saber smashed a powerful attempt into the roof of the net. The goal ignited the game, and Hamza Alaa made a wonderful save on a Jean-Philippe Mateta header. France then hit the post twice in quick succession, with Lacazette's shot and Badé's follow-up hitting the woodwork. Les Bleus equalised thanks to a brilliantly weighted ball from Michael Olise, which Mateta converted decisively. France requested for

Tammy Abraham awaits Milan's move while Roma considers possible counter-parts.

As Milan moves closer to purchasing Roma's English marksman Tammy Abraham, the Giallorossi striker has prioritized the Rossonerri amid Premier League interest, while Roma considers three prospective counter-parts. According to Il Messaggero (via Milan News), with the signings of Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soule, the capital club is willing to surrender the former Chelsea and Aston Villa player to make place up front. Despite receiving inquiries from Premier League clubs West Ham and Everton, the 26-year-old has put a possible return to England on hold, citing a move to the Rossonerri as his top priority, with coach Paolo Fonseca's side expressing a strong interest in making the significant move happen. While coach Daniele De Rossi's side has set a €25 million price tag for Abraham, the Milanese club has no intention of matching that valuation and would rather add a player in the move to cut the transfer fee. The Giallorossi camp will review the list of prospective counter-p
