Romario predicts that "world-class Raphinha" will lead Barcelona to the La Liga title.

Former Barcelona star Romario has backed the club to win the La Liga title in 2025.

Romario famously scored 30 league goals in his debut season in Spain, helping the Catalans win the title in 1994.

Despite his bitter departure from the club in 1995, Romario remains popular among Barcelona fans, and his opinion is highly valued.

Ahead of a legendary charity tournament, Romario discussed how Barcelona is shaping up this season, with Raphinha serving as captain.

"I'm not a huge football fan, but when Barcelona plays, you pay attention. Barcelona has an excellent team. They've won some games and performed well. "I believe we will be champions again this season," according to Mundo Deportivo.

"Raphinha is one of the top players in the world. He plays exceptionally well for Barcelona and Brazil. He makes Brazilians extremely proud."

Barcelona entered the November international break with a six-point lead at the top of the La Liga table, with the season projected to be halfway through before the end of 2024.

Raphinha has now scored 12 goals and assisted eight times across all competitions, which is anticipated to surpass last season's totals of nine and eleven, respectively.
