Aston Villa are close to agreeing on a loan deal for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, according to the PA news agency.
The 27-year-old has been frozen out of Old Trafford by new manager Ruben Amorim and is looking for a new club during the transfer window.
Villa appear to be preparing to offer him a way out, with the Midlands club reportedly closing in on an initial loan deal until the end of the season with the option to buy.
Following the departures of Jhon Duran and Emiliano Buendia, Villa are looking for attacking reinforcements before the transfer deadline on Monday.
Unai Emery, the Villa manager, personally targeted Rashford.
The England forward has been sidelined by Amorim, who took over in November after Erik ten Hag's departure.
Rashford has not appeared for the club since a 2-1 Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen on December 12.
Amorim has told Rashford that he "has to change" if he wants a future at Old Trafford.
Villa are also interested in Chelsea's Joao Felix and Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Asensio, but can only sign players if they are financially viable.
Some funds are available following Duran's transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, which was confirmed on Friday in a deal worth up to £71 million.
However, Emery has stated that Ollie Watkins is happy at the club and will not leave after Villa rejected a bid from Arsenal worth around £60 million earlier this week.
