The Southampton manager is furious at the contentious Liverpool penalty call.

Ivan Juric, manager of Southampton, feels Liverpool should have been given a penalty in the second half of their 3-1 loss at Anfield on Saturday. Will Smallbone gave the Saints an unexpected lead in stoppage time of the first half, but Darin Nunez quickly erased the lead. Mo Salah scored two penalty penalties in the second half to give Liverpool the victory, but Juric thought the first one was unfair. There didn't appear to be much in the area as Smallbone and Nunez collided, but referee Lewis Smith gave the penalty. Juric, the Southampton manager, is furious at Liverpool's penalty call. "They responded quite well," Juric said to BBC Sport. "We had some excellent first-half situations. The match was altered, in my opinion, by the [first] penalty, which was not a penalty. I'm happy with the way we performed today. "This can never be a punishment. Since it was 1-1 and somewhat altered the outcome, I apologize for what happened. Many of our yo...

You have to watch these five heated fixtures this weekend 🌶.

Our top football choices for the next weekend are dominated by Italy and England.

These five games are a must-watch.

Tottenham Versus Bournemouth

Spurs' midweek loss to AZ Alkmaar in Europe has put a lot of pressure on Ange Postecoglou. The North Londoners have work to do in the return after a dismal performance, but the Europa League is their last-ditch effort to salvage their season.

With Bournemouth's performance this season, Postecoglou's preparations for this one might cause him to focus on next week, but it might be a bad idea. Despite consecutive losses, the Cherries are only four points outside of the top four after defeating Manchester United and Newcastle on the road this season.

According to reports, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has been targeted as a possible Postecoglou replacement.

Napoli Versus Fiorentina

Is it possible for Napoli to resume their title challenge?

Antonio Conte's team has lost five straight games in Serie A, but they are still only one point behind leaders Inter, who haven't capitalized.

Fiorentina's return to Naples this weekend will present Napoli with yet another challenging test after a late goal saved a victory against Inter last time out. La Viola defeated Lecce 1-0 to overcome their own slump and be within striking reach of the European spots.

Nottingham Forest Versus Manchester City

This weekend, the Premier League's champions and overachievers will square off.

You would have sent someone to a shrink if they had predicted that Nottingham Forest would finish one spot ahead of Manchester City in March of last summer.

But here we are.

The Citizens, who have seemed susceptible to changes during the season, will probably be overpowered by Nuno Espirito Santo's team. The victors will make significant progress toward next season's Champions League qualification.

Juventus Versus Atalanta

Juventus and Atalanta are both in the rearview mirror as the Serie A title race has opened up due to recent stumbles for Inter and Napoli.

The division's draw experts have begun converting stalemates into winners, and Juventus has won five in a row to get within six points of the top.

Atalanta, on the other hand, are now completely unpredictable. They have either won 5-0 or gone goalless in their last four league games, and their inconsistent play resulted in an unexpected Champions League departure. Dreams of a maiden Scudetto are still alive, though.

Manchester United Versus Arsenal

Although Manchester United vs. Arsenal matches aren't as prestigious as they once were, they rarely let fans down. When 10-man Manchester United upset the odds to defeat the Gunners in North London, the FA Cup match between the two teams was captivating.

The competition had the kind of flavor for which this game was formerly known.

With Old Trafford serving as the venue for the match, let's hope for a rematch this weekend. A win for United might be the last nail in the coffin of Arsenal's title-challenging campaign.

Thierry Henry was denied a joyful homecoming as France was defeated by gold medal winners Spain.

Exactly 36 years after Vinnie Jones, Dave Beasant, Lawrie Sanchez, and others ripped up the rulebook to propel Bobby Gould's Wimbledon to a storied FA Cup victory, Thierry Henry's France fell agonisingly short of capturing an emotional Olympic gold medal in front of a sold-out Parc des Princes in Paris. Henry, who gave his young French team the nickname the 'Crazy Ones' due to their fun-loving nature, won nearly everything as a player, and despite the stars appearing to align for a historic gold medal on home turf, the Arsenal legend was overshadowed by Santi Denia's slick Spaniards in a dramatic 5-3 extra-time defeat. Sergio Camello of Rayo Vallecano was their unexpected late nemesis, dunking French goalkeeper Guillaume Restes with 100 minutes on the clock to startle a stunned capacity crowd. And he delivered a virtual carbon copy of that finish with the game's final kick, charging in on goal as the French flung bodies forward to slot past Restes and cruelly ...
