Andre Onana’s dire performance leaves Man Utd’s Europa League quarter-final on a knife edge .

If there was some evidence to back up Andre Onana's claim that Manchester United are "way better" than Lyon, Nemanja Matic's accusation was strengthened. The goalkeeper dubbed one of the worst in United's modern history had one of his worst nights in their jersey, with a pair of errors adding to Matic's case. Arguably, United outperformed Lyon, but the scoreboard did not reflect this, as a semi-final spot remained on the line. That was due to Onana's errors, which allowed Lyon to equalise in the 95th minute when he pushed Georges Mikautadze's shot right back out. Rayan Cherki followed up and tapped in. "The worst moment to concede a goal," stated Leny Yoro. There was no attempt to sugarcoat the situation; nor could there be. Ruben Amorim of Onana commented, "There is nothing I can say now to help him," but he did provide an endorsement. "I am really confident in Andre." Amorim felt that the tie is "50-50,...

5 spicy fixtures to watch this weekend 🌶.

There is a lot at stake across Europe this weekend, with big derbies and vital clashes that might decide Champions League participation.

Here are our five must-see games.

Atalanta versus Lazio

Atalanta's title hopes appear to be dead, with two defeats dropping Gian Piero Gasperni's side nine points behind the leaders. The Bergamo club will now be looking uneasily over their shoulder, with a number of clubs capable of passing them in the race for Champions League football.

Among them is Lazio, who are only four points below the top four despite a recent slump of their own. A victory for the capital club would substantially tighten up the top division.

Villarreal versus Athletic Bilbao

Another crucial match in the quest to qualify for the Champions League.

Villarreal hosts Athletic Bilbao at El Madrigal in La Liga, where they are fifth and fourth respectively. The Yellow Submarine trail the top four by six points, but they have a game in hand, and a win would set up a thrilling conclusion in the last round.

It could be an excellent time to face Athletic, who have only won once in their past four games and face a crucial Europa League quarter-final against Rangers on Thursday.

Aston Villa versus Nottingham Forest

This weekend, there will be Champions League games everywhere, and Villa Park is sure to be rocking.
Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are battling for a place in Europe's elite this season, giving the Premier League a unique 1980s air.

Villa have won six consecutive games as their January signings have rediscovered form, while Forest have beaten both Manchester clubs in recent weeks, bringing them closer to their Champions League ambition.

Roma vs. Juventus

Can Juventus halt the Roman resurgence? Claudio Ranieri's revolution at Roma is in full swing, with the veteran coach orchestrating one of the season's most impressive turnarounds.

Roma has been unbeaten since December and has won seven consecutive league games to put themselves in Champions League contention. Another win this weekend will bring Roma level on points with Juventus in the table.

Manchester United versus Manchester City

Manchester will come to a halt this Saturday when United face City at Old Trafford.

The shaky fortunes of both teams have increased to the interest of this one, since neither is where they hoped - or expected to be.

United's primary focus will be on the Europa League, with victory leading to Champions League qualification. Denting their opponents' top four would be a nice moment, given their recent success disparities.

Kevin De Bruyne, who confirmed on Friday that he will leave City in the summer, will want to leave his imprint in one more derby clash.

Thierry Henry was denied a joyful homecoming as France was defeated by gold medal winners Spain.

Exactly 36 years after Vinnie Jones, Dave Beasant, Lawrie Sanchez, and others ripped up the rulebook to propel Bobby Gould's Wimbledon to a storied FA Cup victory, Thierry Henry's France fell agonisingly short of capturing an emotional Olympic gold medal in front of a sold-out Parc des Princes in Paris. Henry, who gave his young French team the nickname the 'Crazy Ones' due to their fun-loving nature, won nearly everything as a player, and despite the stars appearing to align for a historic gold medal on home turf, the Arsenal legend was overshadowed by Santi Denia's slick Spaniards in a dramatic 5-3 extra-time defeat. Sergio Camello of Rayo Vallecano was their unexpected late nemesis, dunking French goalkeeper Guillaume Restes with 100 minutes on the clock to startle a stunned capacity crowd. And he delivered a virtual carbon copy of that finish with the game's final kick, charging in on goal as the French flung bodies forward to slot past Restes and cruelly ...
