Jurgen Klopp is considering a move to Real Madrid after experiencing discontent at Red Bull.

Jurgen Klopp is eyeing the Real Madrid position as frustrations mount behind the scenes at Red Bull, where he is presently the global football director. According to UOL, the former Liverpool manager has told close acquaintances that he is considering leaving Red Bull to join Real Madrid or the Brazilian national team. While neither party has made a formal contact, indications indicate Klopp is dissatisfied with the Austrian group. Klopp joined Red Bull after leaving Liverpool in 2024, following nine years of glory at Anfield. Despite earning between €12-14 million per year in his new role, the German is said to be restless and misses the daily engagement of top-level football management. Meanwhile, pressure is rising on Real Madrid's current manager, Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian strategist is under contract until June 2026, although he could be fired before the expanded FIFA Club World Cup, depending on Madrid's performance in the final stages. According to Hansi Flick, Barcelona can win the La Liga title through strong defensive play.

Hansi Flick praised his Barcelona teammates' defensive tenacity after a 1-0 La Liga victory away to Leganes.

The Catalans return to northern Spain with a seven-point advantage over Real Madrid, who play at Alaves on Sunday.

Barcelona were not at their best in Madrid, and they relied on good fortune to win, as Jorge Saenz's own goal sealed the victory.

The visitors did not have a shot on target until the 70th minute, and they were unable to score a second goal as Leganes fought for a late comeback.

Flick agreed that winning this type of difficult game is critical in a title run, and he complimented Inigo Martinez for a goal-saving block late on.

"It was a very difficult and vital match for us. "I'm very proud of what my team has done over the last few weeks and months," Marca said.

"What jumps out above all things is the dedication displayed by each player.

"You would believe that matches versus Dortmund or Atletico Madrid win titles, but it's games like this.

"I'm extremely proud of the team and how they defended. Martínez's final performance in the game was flawless."

Flick is anticipated to vary his starting lineup against Borussia Dortmund in midweek, but with the most of the work done following a 4-0 UEFA Champions League first leg victory, he will keep several players for league action.

Alejandro Balde was forced off at Leganes and will most certainly miss out, while Ronald Araujo is also dealing with a slight ailment.

Barcelona will then play two home league games in April, against Celta Vigo and Mallorca, before facing Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on April 26.

Thierry Henry was denied a joyful homecoming as France was defeated by gold medal winners Spain.

Exactly 36 years after Vinnie Jones, Dave Beasant, Lawrie Sanchez, and others ripped up the rulebook to propel Bobby Gould's Wimbledon to a storied FA Cup victory, Thierry Henry's France fell agonisingly short of capturing an emotional Olympic gold medal in front of a sold-out Parc des Princes in Paris. Henry, who gave his young French team the nickname the 'Crazy Ones' due to their fun-loving nature, won nearly everything as a player, and despite the stars appearing to align for a historic gold medal on home turf, the Arsenal legend was overshadowed by Santi Denia's slick Spaniards in a dramatic 5-3 extra-time defeat. Sergio Camello of Rayo Vallecano was their unexpected late nemesis, dunking French goalkeeper Guillaume Restes with 100 minutes on the clock to startle a stunned capacity crowd. And he delivered a virtual carbon copy of that finish with the game's final kick, charging in on goal as the French flung bodies forward to slot past Restes and cruelly ...
