Arda Güler's position has the potential to become one of the major transfer sagas of 2026, but whether it actually happens will depend on how far Liverpool and Manchester United are willing to push Real Madrid as well as how eager Güler is to leave the Bernabéu at this point in his development. The noise around United and Liverpool is real and growing, yet the current signals from Madrid and the player’s camp suggest that any blockbuster deal would be more “opportunity of the market” than inevitability. Where the Rumour Stands Now Reports in England and Spain indicate that Manchester United have already opened or accelerated “initial contacts” around a possible move for Arda Güler as part of long‑term recruitment planning. Kevin De Bruyne's farewell Manchester Derby was not memorable for the Manchester City playmaker.
After announcing his summer exit from Manchester City in the lead-up to the game, De Bruyne was given a rare start on Sunday, leading his side out for the 13th time this season as they drew 0-0 with Manchester United.Much of the attention was on De Bruyne, but the 33-year-old was one of several players who went unnoticed in what turned out to be a painfully disappointing encounter between two fierce rivals.
De Bruyne failed to create a single chance in the Premier League for the first time in seven years, despite playing the entire 90 minutes on Sunday.
De Bruyne had not played a full 90 minutes without creating at least one scoring opportunity for his teammates since a match against West Ham United in April 2018 - an 88-game streak.
De Bruyne's Manchester Derby legacy may not have ended as he had hoped, but the Belgium international was singled out for praise by United captain Bruno Fernandes following the game.

"De Bruyne made the Premier League better," Fernandes told Sky Sports. "If City is where it is and Manchester United hasn't won many titles during this time, it's all due of Kevin De Bruyne, and he deserves all of the credit.
"He did great. A decade in the Premier League is a long time. They've chosen to separate ways. I'm not sure from which side, but Kevin continues to be world-class, and it was a delight to watch him up close. It was a pleasure playing against him.
"He's going to stay in the history of the Premier League, not only of Man City."
