Ralph Hasenhüttl, the head coach of VfL Wolfsburg, has been fired immediately after the team's crushing 4-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
With two games left in the season, Wolfsburg is now 12th in the Bundesliga standings after suffering their sixth loss in their previous seven games.
Daniel Bauer, the under-19 coach, will serve as the temporary coach for the remaining games against Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hoffenheim.
