Kevin De Bruyne confirms Manchester City's leave with an emotional statement.

Kevin De Bruyne has announced that he will leave Manchester City at the conclusion of the season, following a decade with the club. De Bruyne, 33, had a magnificent 10-season career under Pep Guardiola, becoming the focal point of a club that ushered in a period of Premier League domination. Since coming from Wolfsburg in 2015, the Belgian has won 16 trophies, including six league titles and the prestigious club-first Champions League in 2023. He has made 413 appearances for the Citizens over an illustrious career, scoring 106 goals and providing 174 assists, cementing his place as one of the best midfielders in Premier League history. However, the Belgian's minutes have been limited this season due to injuries from previous campaigns, and he has now declared in an emotional statement that he will quit the Etihad when his contract expires in the summer. De Bruyne took to Instagram and commented, "Seeing this, you probably know where this is leading. So I'll get right t...

Barcelona and Atleti have advanced to the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.

More Copa del Rey action resumed on Wednesday with two LaLiga titans in action. Here is what went down.

Barcelona crushes Real Betis.

Barcelona advanced to the Copa del Rey quarterfinals with a 5-1 win over Real Betis.

Gavi broke the deadlock after receiving a pass from Dani Olmo in the box, and his close control abilities allowed him to drive a low roller home.

Another teenager was later flaunting his stuff in Lamine Yamal. The 17-year-old set up the second goal for Jules Kounde with a ball over the top, making it 2-0.

VAR was in action as Barcelona sought a third goal. An emphatic Kounde strike that hit the crossbar was ruled out for offside, and a Yamal goal was called off for the same reason.

But an in-form Raphinha ensured his side scored three goals on the night, volleying home from inside the box for his 30th goal of the season.

Substitute Ferran Torres later joined in with his own volley from the bench, shushing the haters in celebration.

Yamal later added his own goal to cap off a run of five goals in two games for Barcelona.

Real Betis' comeback was never in doubt, as the visitors managed just three efforts on goal against one of Europe's finest teams.

However, Vitor Roque's late penalty against his parent club ended Barcelona's hopes of keeping a clean sheet.

Atleti easily defeated 10-man Elche.

Elsewhere in Spain, Atlético de Madrid advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating 10-man Elche 4-0.

The hosts dominated possession in the first half, which was a close game, but the visitors scored courtesy to their in-form striker.

Alexander Sørloth scored the first goal by defying his defender and scoring swiftly on the right side of the net.

By the half-hour mark, the striker had converted a penalty, doubling Diego Simeone's lead.

Unfortunately for Elche, things got worse after the break when Nicolás Fernández was sent off for a second yellow with 40 minutes left to play.

With a man advantage, Atleti added a third goal through Rodrigo Riquelme. The 24-year-old picked up the ball on the left side of midfield and fired a rocket from outside the box into the top right corner.

Substitute Julián Alvarez scored a fourth goal from the bench, capitalizing on a loose ball in the box to seal the victory.

Thierry Henry was denied a joyful homecoming as France was defeated by gold medal winners Spain.

Exactly 36 years after Vinnie Jones, Dave Beasant, Lawrie Sanchez, and others ripped up the rulebook to propel Bobby Gould's Wimbledon to a storied FA Cup victory, Thierry Henry's France fell agonisingly short of capturing an emotional Olympic gold medal in front of a sold-out Parc des Princes in Paris. Henry, who gave his young French team the nickname the 'Crazy Ones' due to their fun-loving nature, won nearly everything as a player, and despite the stars appearing to align for a historic gold medal on home turf, the Arsenal legend was overshadowed by Santi Denia's slick Spaniards in a dramatic 5-3 extra-time defeat. Sergio Camello of Rayo Vallecano was their unexpected late nemesis, dunking French goalkeeper Guillaume Restes with 100 minutes on the clock to startle a stunned capacity crowd. And he delivered a virtual carbon copy of that finish with the game's final kick, charging in on goal as the French flung bodies forward to slot past Restes and cruelly ...
