Having been linked with a move away from Brighton all season, the seagulls confirmed that he would leave the AMEX stadium after the season's final game.And Marseille have pounced following Jean-Louis Gasset's exit, with the French club stating that the Italian has signed a three-year contract in the south of France.
The Italian explained: "I am delighted to join Olympique de Marseille; I had a great desire to join this club.
