Aston Villa confirms the departure of a Brazilian veteran on season-long loan.

Aston Villa have announced the season-long loan of midfield maestro Philippe Coutinho, who will join Vasco de Gama for the upcoming season.

Coutinho, one of Steven Gerrard's final signings at Villa Park, was seen as a triumph when he joined from FC Barcelona, but his time in the Midlands came to an end with the arrival of Unai Emery.

He made just 11 appearances for Emery's team, scoring one goal, before being loaned out to Qatari side Al-Duhail for the 2023/24 season.

Now, he is leaving the club on a temporary basis to return to his homeland.
