Aston Villa have entered the competition to recruit Feyenoord's Lutsharel Geertruida this summer.

Geertruida is anticipated to leave the Eredivisie club following the last 12 months of his contract, with numerous teams interested in the Netherlands international.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored eight goals and assisted five times for Feyenoord in the Dutch top flight, playing primarily as a right back. He can also play in center defence or midfield.

Geertruida was sighted at Liverpool's draw with West Ham last season and has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer under former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot. Chelsea has also been connected, while RB Leipzig is looking to sign the midfielder after a failed attempt a year ago.
