Geertruida is anticipated to leave the Eredivisie club following the last 12 months of his contract, with numerous teams interested in the Netherlands international.Last season, the 24-year-old scored eight goals and assisted five times for Feyenoord in the Dutch top flight, playing primarily as a right back. He can also play in center defence or midfield.
Geertruida was sighted at Liverpool's draw with West Ham last season and has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer under former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot. Chelsea has also been connected, while RB Leipzig is looking to sign the midfielder after a failed attempt a year ago.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa has joined the transfer battle. Unai Emery's side needs depth at right back, with Ezri Konsa needing to fill on occasion last season, while Matty Cash has been linked with a move away.

Geertruida's adaptability would be extremely beneficial to Villa as the team prepares to compete in the Champions League in 2024-25. His arrival would add to Emery's hectic summer, as his team is currently the biggest spender in European football.
