The outcome of Getafe's La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano has produced an eye-catching statistic.
The two teams faced off at the Estadio Coliseum on Saturday night, hoping to maintain their respective unblemished starts to the season. It's safe to assume that neither side is likely to be very pleased with how much came about.
Getafe, for their part, took 12 shots over the course of 90 minutes, while Rayo contributed three of their own.
Incredibly, not a single one of them was able to find the target, demonstrating a startling level of profligacy.
And, as previously stated, the two teams have etched their names into the record books of Spanish football in an entirely undesirable manner.
According to statisticians Opta:
"Rayo Vallecano is the first LaLiga match since at least the 2003/04 season (when such records began) without a single shot on target."
0 - Getafe-Rayo Vallecano is the first LaLiga game without a single shot on goal since at least the 2003/04 season. Stifling.
