Despite being outplayed for much of the night, Milan held on to defeat Barcelona on penalties in a preseason friendly.
Despite Barcelona's dominance in the first 20 minutes, Milan quickly took a 2-0 lead with goals from Luka Jović and Christian Pulisic.
But Barcelona's possession and pressure would pay off just minutes later, as Robert Lewandowski cut the deficit in half.
Youngster Pau Victor continued to make a name for himself after some outstanding preseason performances, giving a brilliant chipped assist for Lewandowski after the halftime break to level the LaLiga giants in style.
Milan provided little in the way of attacking prowess once the Blaugrana leveled, and Paulo Fonseca's slew of changes did little to shift the momentum back in their favor.
Nonetheless, the Serie A team held on as Barcelona pushed for a winner in the final minutes, forcing the game to penalties, as is common in preseason friendlies in the United States.
After Ismaël Bennacer and Jules Koundé's misses in the first round, Milan youngster Lorenzo Torriani came up in the late stages to make important saves and win the game.
Milan will now focus on the first weekend of Serie A, when they will face Torino, while Barça will play Monaco in the Joan Gamper Trophy before commencing their LaLiga season.
