Paris Saint-Germain has signed Benfica midfielder João Neves for a reputed €70 million.
Neves, who has nine international caps and was selected for EURO 2024, leaves his boyhood club after eight years, two of which were spent in the first squad.
He rapidly established himself as a regular, appearing in 75 games, scoring four times, and guiding Benfica to a record 38th league title in 2022/23.
There may be further midfield moves in the French city, with Neves' arrival potentially leading to the departure of Fabián Ruiz and Manuel Ugarte, who have been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, respectively.
