The Southampton manager is furious at the contentious Liverpool penalty call.

Ivan Juric, manager of Southampton, feels Liverpool should have been given a penalty in the second half of their 3-1 loss at Anfield on Saturday. Will Smallbone gave the Saints an unexpected lead in stoppage time of the first half, but Darin Nunez quickly erased the lead. Mo Salah scored two penalty penalties in the second half to give Liverpool the victory, but Juric thought the first one was unfair. There didn't appear to be much in the area as Smallbone and Nunez collided, but referee Lewis Smith gave the penalty. Juric, the Southampton manager, is furious at Liverpool's penalty call. "They responded quite well," Juric said to BBC Sport. "We had some excellent first-half situations. The match was altered, in my opinion, by the [first] penalty, which was not a penalty. Aston Villa may have found their new Jack Grealish. 👀.

Jack Grealish left Aston Villa more than three years ago, but it appears they may have finally found a replacement.

One of the acquisitions that lessened the damage after Grealish's British transfer record move to Manchester City in 2021 was Leon Bailey.

The Jamaican international has blossomed for Unai Emery's team over the last 13 months, despite his lackluster prior performance.

Leon Bailey (16) now has as many Premier League assists for Aston Villa as Jack Grealish.  

At Ipswich Town, Bailey recorded his 11th assist of the season as Ollie Watkins sealed the Villans' first-half comeback.

Since the start of 2023–24, the former Bayer Leverkusen winger has contributed to 20 goal involvements overall.

Grealish's total of 16 top-flight assists over three years at Villa Park matched his personal mark from four complete seasons with his hometown club.

How many more will he accumulate before all is said and done next May?
