The summer transfer window has closed, but Premier League clubs can still sign a number of outstanding players as free agents.

These players include former Barcelona stars, France internationals, Premier League champions, and former PFA Young Player of the Year winners.

Here are five players looking for new jobs, as well as Premier League clubs who might be interested in hiring them.

Adrien Rabiot

Man United

Manchester United have been linked with a deal for Adrien Rabiot ever since Erik ten Hag took over, with the current manager allegedly a big fan of the midfield player.

Ten Hag's inconsistent record of urging that United buy very mediocre players, along with Rabiot's widely critiqued performances at Euro 2024, may cause concern among fans. However, after seeing Scott McTominay up sticks for Napoli on deadline day and Casemiro's running abilities wane in recent weeks, an extra midfielder could be just what the Old Trafford team requires.

Last month, 90min revealed that Rabiot is holding out for United. You know it makes sense, Red Devils.

Arsenal

Arsenal is one of the football clubs in need of midfielders.

After learning that new addition Mikel Merino will be out of action for a spell due to a shoulder injury, the Gunners are noticeably short on options in the center of the park.

Rabiot would cover a vacancy in Mikel Arteta's lineup for around a month.

Antonio Martial

Wolverhampton Wanderers, a Premier League club, should be interested.

The tall defender has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham United in recent weeks, and it's understandable why.

Egan's possession ability would be a valuable addition to incoming manager Julen Lopetegui, who wants to implement a modern style of play at the London Stadium.

Dele Alli

Southampton, a Premier League club, should be interested.

For a variety of reasons, Dele Alli has struggled to regain his early career form in recent seasons. Having said that, there is still a talent somewhere, and Dele has the potential to excel in the appropriate situation.

That setting could be St Mary's Stadium.

The Saints, who have only scored one goal in their opening three games of the season, are in desperate need of a spark in the final third, and a fully fit Dele might provide just that. If the Saints base their attack on the former PFA Young Player of the Year, they may have a chance of staying up.

Joel Matip

Joel Matip, another defender connected with the Hammers in recent weeks, would make an excellent addition to their backline.

His leadership traits and ability on and off the field would qualify him for a starting spot at London Stadium (when fit, of course).

Those leadership characteristics might be beneficial in a Wolves defense that has been shaken by the loss of Max Kilman.

After conceding nine goals in three games, the Midlands club is looking for a new centre-back alternative.
