Real Madrid announced Carlo Ancelotti's replacement in early November.

Real Madrid began the season with some ups and downs, not only in LaLiga but also in the UEFA Champions League, with 16 games played, 10 wins, 3 draws, and 3 losses. Now that rumors have circulated that Madrid is looking for a new coach, we will have to wait and see what happens.

Earlier this month, the powers that be at La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid began preparing to break ways with head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

That is according to Relevo, who issued an update on the situation Saturday.

According to reports, Ancelotti's future was largely determined by the outcome of Real Madrid's match against Osasuna prior to the international break.

After two consecutive defeats to Barcelona and AC Milan, Florentino Pérez and co. decided to send the club's headmaster packing in the event of a loss versus Osasuna.

Los Blancos had even lined up Ancelotti's replacement, ex-Blancos player Santiago Solari, who now serves as director of football at the Santiago Bernabéu.

In the event, no such move was considered required, as Real Madrid returned to winning ways with an exhilarating 4-0 victory.

However, the revelation highlights the fact that, if his team suffers another fall in form this season, Carlo Ancelotti's position in the dugout is far from certain.
