The Southampton manager is furious at the contentious Liverpool penalty call.

Ivan Juric, manager of Southampton, feels Liverpool should have been given a penalty in the second half of their 3-1 loss at Anfield on Saturday. Will Smallbone gave the Saints an unexpected lead in stoppage time of the first half, but Darin Nunez quickly erased the lead. Mo Salah scored two penalty penalties in the second half to give Liverpool the victory, but Juric thought the first one was unfair. There didn't appear to be much in the area as Smallbone and Nunez collided, but referee Lewis Smith gave the penalty. Juric, the Southampton manager, is furious at Liverpool's penalty call. "They responded quite well," Juric said to BBC Sport. "We had some excellent first-half situations. The match was altered, in my opinion, by the [first] penalty, which was not a penalty. I'm happy with the way we performed today. "This can never be a punishment. Since it was 1-1 and somewhat altered the outcome, I apologize for what happened. Many of our yo...

The main attraction of the day. Since their last clash four years ago, both teams have undergone significant changes. Vincent Kompany and Luis Enrique now lead from the sidelines, while Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. are no longer present, although both teams continue to top their respective domestic divisions. Harry Kane leads the Bavarian team to a narrow victory at home, while PSG finishes another week outside of the 24 qualifying places.

Arsenal's first defeat in the Champions League was against the reigning Serie A champion. However, Mikel Arteta's team seemed revived against Nottingham Forest this past weekend. Ruben Amorim has left, and he did so on a high note in Europe, defeating Manchester City the last time out. Viktor Gyokeres is one of the world's most talented and deadly strikers, but Arsenal wins convincingly on the road.

Thierry Henry was denied a joyful homecoming as France was defeated by gold medal winners Spain.

Exactly 36 years after Vinnie Jones, Dave Beasant, Lawrie Sanchez, and others ripped up the rulebook to propel Bobby Gould's Wimbledon to a storied FA Cup victory, Thierry Henry's France fell agonisingly short of capturing an emotional Olympic gold medal in front of a sold-out Parc des Princes in Paris. Henry, who gave his young French team the nickname the 'Crazy Ones' due to their fun-loving nature, won nearly everything as a player, and despite the stars appearing to align for a historic gold medal on home turf, the Arsenal legend was overshadowed by Santi Denia's slick Spaniards in a dramatic 5-3 extra-time defeat. Sergio Camello of Rayo Vallecano was their unexpected late nemesis, dunking French goalkeeper Guillaume Restes with 100 minutes on the clock to startle a stunned capacity crowd. And he delivered a virtual carbon copy of that finish with the game's final kick, charging in on goal as the French flung bodies forward to slot past Restes and cruelly ...
