Bellingham turned provider a few minutes later, as Real Madrid extended their lead. He sent a great through ball to Kylian Mbappe, who broke in behind and curled a beautiful shot into the far corner.

Real Madrid pressed for a third in the second half, but it was unnecessary. The result means that the incumbent champions are currently one point behind Barcelona in the rankings, despite playing one fewer game.
