"That's wrong" - MLS coach rejects Miami's Club World Cup invitation 😤.

Bruce Arena, a legendary MLS coach, has criticized Inter Miami's qualification for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

A position in the famous worldwide tournament was believed to be reserved for the ultimate winners of the MLS Cup, a competition from which Inter Miami was eliminated in the first round by underdogs Atlanta United.

"It's clearly marketing," he told TalkSport.

"Is Inter Miami the only representative of Major League Soccer? If that's the case, I believe that's incorrect.

"I disagree with it. But, undoubtedly, Messi will attract a lot of attention."

The event is planned to begin in the United States on June 15, 2025. Inter Miami will be joined by the Seattle Sounders as the two MLS representatives.
