🦁 Everton fire in astonishing last-gasp equalizer in final Goodison derby .


Everton scored an incredible equalizer against Liverpool in the 97th minute of the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

The Toffees got off to a flying start when Beto beat the offside trap with a defence-splitting pass from a Jarrad Branthwaite free-kick and finished superbly past goalkeeper Alisson.

However, that lead lasted just over four minutes, as Mo Salah provided a sublime cross for Alexis MacAllister to rise highest and deliver a looping header for the equalizer.

In the second half, David Moyes' side held firm defensively until Salah scored a sharp finish after an excellent team move to put the visitors ahead.


And just as it appeared that the Reds would go nine points clear at the top of the Premier League, James Tarkowski scored a 97th-minute equalizer to send the Goodison faithful wild.

A lengthy VAR review followed, but the goal sealed a truly dramatic night on Merseyside.

The game ended with a scuffle, and Abdoulaye Doucouré was given a second yellow card, while Arne Slot was also given a red card by the referee in the aftermath.
