Tottenham confirms Kevin Danso's signing, kicking off a busy end-of-season window.

Lens defender joins on loan, with an obligation to make the move permanent for £20.9 million in the summer.

Tottenham have finalized the loan signing of Lens centre-back Kevin Danso, with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Spurs are poised to pay Lens £20.9 million for the 26-year-old in the summer, with Danso, who will wear the No. 4 shirt, believed to have agreed to a term until 2030.

Danso had agreed to join Wolves and was scheduled to have a physical with the Midlands club on Sunday, but his attention was diverted by Spurs' late-stage interest in a new defender after Radu Dragusin sustained a knee injury against Elfsborg on Thursday.

Dragusin is expected to miss the majority of the rest of the season, while Cristian Romero is still out with a thigh injury and Micky van de Ven has only recently returned to action after missing a significant amount of time with hamstring problems.

Spurs secured a deal with AC Milan for Fikayo Tomori, who was hesitant to leave the Italian club so late in the window, and have also spoken with Chelsea about a loan move for Axel Disasi.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is also looking for a new forward before Monday's transfer deadline, but a deal for Mathys Tel has been called off after the young forward expressed a desire to remain at Bayern Munich.

Danso was born in Austria and moved to England at the age of six, where he played in the youth ranks for Reading and MK Dons before joining German club Augsburg in 2014.

In the summer of 2019, he joined Southampton on a season-long loan, but he only made 10 appearances for the Saints during a difficult spell back in England.

The Austria international also spent time on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf before joining French club Lens in the summer of 2021, where he made 128 appearances throughout all competitions.

He has 24 caps for Austria and represented his country at Euro 2024.

If international clearance and a work permit are obtained in time, he will be eligible to make his debut against Liverpool in next Thursday's Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield. Spurs led 1-0 after the first leg in north London last month.

Rodri of Manchester City criticizes Real Madrid's tactics following their Champions League defeat: I only saw one squad.

Rodri complained about Real Madrid's tactics after Manchester City's painful Champions League quarter-final loss, saying he "saw only one team" striving to win. City's European title defence came to an end in agony on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium, with the Spanish giants winning 4-3 in penalties after a 1-1 draw on the night made the tie 4-4 on aggregate. The holders dominated the match, with 33 shots on goal to the visitors' eight, but Real defended deep to frustrate them and ultimately extinguish their dreams of a second consecutive triple. City midfielder Rodri stated, "To be honest, I only saw one team. They defended well. They knew how to suffer, and we know how resilient Real Madrid is. "But, in my opinion, we should take that many chances; yet, this is the trick of this competition. They understand how to play it. We congratulate them. "We gave all, and there is nothing to regret. This can occasionally be football. This demonstrat...

Borussia Dortmund is 'considering a bid' for Marcus Rashford.

Borussia Dortmund is investigating a transfer for Marcus Rashford. According to the Athletic's David Ornstein, the Bundesliga club has joined the hunt for Manchester United's out-of-favour attacker in the summer. Rashford has become a peripheral character at Old Trafford with the arrival of Rúben Amorim, being dropped from four consecutive matchday lineups. He returned for a home loss to Newcastle but missed last weekend's draw at Liverpool due to illness, and his long-term chances remain bleak. Rashford has also been linked with Serie A giants Milan and Juventus, as well as many undisclosed Premier League suitors.

Barcelona's final attempt to register Dani Olmo will face a court battle.

Barcelona's chances of having Dani Olmo and Pau Victor available for the rest of the season appear to be dwindling. After missing the deadline to remain registered for the remainder of the season, Barcelona delivered La Liga all of the necessary documentation for the sale of their VIP seats, a deal worth an estimated €110 million that would allow them to do so. However, due to the missing deadline, La Liga would not allow Barcelona to keep Olmo and Victor registered, as rules prohibit players from being registered twice. As a result, Barcelona's sole contractual option is to file a court appeal to their decision. According to MD, they have a variety of legal options. They may claim force majeure, which refers to unforeseeable situations that prevent them from assembling the documentation for La Liga, but legal experts say that is unlikely to qualify for that verdict. However, according to the Catalan daily, the most likely argument is that the registration period be extended...

Manchester United defense underwent a minor cardiac operation.

Manchester United will be momentarily without the abilities of summer acquisition Noussair Mazraoui. On Thursday, conflicting sources suggested that the Morocco international had heart palpitations and was anticipated to be sidelined for the long term. According to an update from Manchester Evening News chief correspondent Samuel Luckhurst, the 26-year-old underwent a little preventive corrective operation and recovered completely. The fact that Manchester United views it as a “relatively common condition” and that the player should make a full recovery gives them hope. The Premier League team anticipates Mazraoui's comeback to action in the upcoming weeks, according to MEN. Concerning the player's situation, Manchester United has not yet released a statement. Under Erik ten Hag, the former star of Ajax and Bayern Munich has made ten appearances this season in all competitions.
