An investigation has been opened by Arsenal after a sexually offensive remark made about Taylor Hinds, a defender for Liverpool.

Following Liverpool's disclosure that their women's vice captain, Taylor Hinds, had been the target of sexually offensive remarks during Sunday's Women's FA Cup quarterfinal, Arsenal has opened an investigation.
The fan was ejected from the Mangata Pay UK Stadium in Borehamwood, where Arsenal Women play their domestic cup matches, when Hinds and a Liverpool teammate informed the match authorities about the abuse at the time.
Arsenal has now promised Hinds their full support and opened an investigation into the incident from Sunday's match, which Liverpool won 1-0.
The club takes a zero-tolerance stance against prejudice and abuse. They will act forcefully to stop such behavior.
Arsenal said in a statement: "We are looking into offensive remarks made by someone about Taylor Hinds of Liverpool during our FA Cup quarterfinal on Sunday.

Hinds has stated that she will not let one fan's behavior to "ruin" Liverpool's historic victory, but she felt obliged to voice her opinion.
"I and all of the current women's players are participating in the sport we love, and we ought to be able to do so without worrying about such incidents," Hinds stated.
"Every young girl who aspires to play football should know that she may do it in a safe and fulfilling way.
It is unacceptable, and I was resolved to take a position, but I will not allow the actions of one person to spoil what was an amazing day for the team and our supporters.
It was difficult for my parents to ignore what was happening and to learn later that their daughter was being yelled at during a football game.
