Fenerbahce's dreams of winning the title were dashed when Gedson Fernandes, a former Spurs player who had missed a penalty earlier, gave Solskjaer the last laugh by scoring the game-winning goal just before halftime.

After the game, Mourinho stated, "Ole is here for a few months," "He is smart and experienced enough to pick up the necessary knowledge.

"I am not qualified to advise him. Before the game, we had a conversation in the tunnel. It was a typical exchange between two men who respect one another but must play a match. After then, nothing changed.

"Just as I am not in hell because I lost a derby, we have enough experience for him to not be on the moon because he won. We treat each other with great respect. I believe we also get along. That's what I would say.
