This season, Mohamed Salah has the potential to break seven records and accomplish wonders at Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah was Liverpool's least prolific player last season, highlighting the high expectations he has for himself.

The forward only scored 18 goals, which is down for his usual standards. Throughout the campaign, there were concerns regarding his long-term future at Merseyside, particularly since his contract expires in June 2025.

Salah is still going strong in 2024/25 and hopes to add to his tremendous array of accolades, records, and achievements.

Salah has been in amazing scoring form in the Premier League, with seven goals in his opening ten outings. This improves his tally in England's top league to 164 goals, surpassing Jermain Defoe (162) and Robbie Fowler (163). He is currently just 20 goals away from tying fifth-place Sergio Agüero, who is three goals behind Andy Cole, fourth all-time.

He is on target to score 27 goals this season, putting him only behind three England internationals: Wayne Rooney (208), Harry Kane (213), and Alan Shearer (260). However, if he does not sign a new contract with Liverpool, his progress may come to an end. Even with a new deal, he would need to go above and above to match Shearer's record.

Salah will be remembered as a Liverpool legend, and few will argue that he belongs among the club's greatest players. He has already smashed several records while wearing the red jersey and is ranked fifth on the club's all-time scoring list.

He is presently eight goals shy of tying the famous Billy Liddell's record of 228 goals, and that milestone should be met soon. There is also a reasonable probability that he may surpass Gordon Hodgson, who is third with 241 goals, as Salah is only 21 goals behind him.

That would leave him trailing just Roger Hunt (285 goals) and Ian Rush (346 goals), though it appears doubtful that he will pass Rush to win the top spot.

Dwight Yorke was the first non-English player to achieve 100 goals, and Didier Drogba was the first African player to do it. Salah is one of three foreign players in the competition's all-time top 10 goal scorers, including Thierry Henry (175) and the aforementioned Sergio Agüero (184).

He's just 20 goals behind the Argentine striker. Salah is expected to surpass Agüero as the Premier League's highest-scoring foreign player, setting a new standard for others outside England to strive for.

Salah is not only a talented goal scorer, but also a generous playmaker. In five of his past seven Premier League seasons, he has scored more than ten goals. He is currently halfway to another double-digit assist total, and if he keeps this up, he could join the competition's all-time top 10 providers list.

He presently has 74 assists, tying him with Ashley Young and Thierry Henry. He is on par with Teddy Sheringham and Christian Eriksen, who both have 76 assists. While Young and Eriksen could perhaps increase to their totals, Salah is more likely to reach 81 assists and surpass David Beckham (80) for tenth place on the all-time list.

What is the definition of "most valuable player"? It may allude to someone who can constantly score and create in the same game. Salah excels at this, having done so in 34 different Premier League matches.

This is the second-highest total in competition history, after only Wayne Rooney's 36 matches.

Given the possibility that Salah will score frequently in Liverpool's remaining encounters, he will only need to deliver an assist in three games while also scoring. As a result, it is reasonable to expect the Egyptian King to claim this record soon.

Away from the Premier League, Liverpool is having a good Champions League season, with a perfect record after three games, alongside Aston Villa. Salah has already scored one goal, extending his total to 45, 42 of which came while playing for Liverpool. This opens up an exciting opportunity for him.

Although Salah has the most Champions League goals for an English club, only six players have scored 50 goals for a single club: Thomas Müller (54 - Bayern Munich), Raúl (66 - Real Madrid), Robert Lewandowski (69 - Bayern Munich), Karim Benzema (78 - Real Madrid), Cristiano Ronaldo (105 - Real Madrid), and Lionel Messi (120 - Barcelona).

He only needs eight more goals to reach this milestone, which appears to be within reach given Liverpool's next five league games. Moving on to the knockout stage will provide Salah with even more opportunity to become the first player to achieve 50 Champions League goals for a single English club.
